    “Hi Marija,
The photos are of a real house. Take a look at our website. Under “Portfolio” got to “residential” then pick the 33rd Street Residence and finally at the bottom right see “view construction photo’s”.
We toiled long and hard to create the design and gain the approval by local governing agencies to build it. Our builder, Wilson Construction, worked for nearly two years to construct it. I am very pleased that your readers think so highly of our project that they think it might be just a great rendering. But let me assure them all that it is a real project.
One small correction, the house is in actually in Manhattan Beach, not Malibu, although the cities are close to one another geographically.
Just so you and your readers will better understand, our photographer, Eric Staudenmaier uses is an amazing (and very expensive) camera. It is a “Haselblad H4D Digital SLR Camera” that he tethers to a high end MAC laptop. He takes multiple, but identical photos that are at different exposures of each view. He has said that he then overlays the multiple exposures digitally to get the clarity of interior and the exterior in the same photo. That approach is difficult and time consuming but we think it’s worth it to get the “true” impression of the project. Just to be clear these photos have not been “touch up” simply combined with other photos to achieve a composite of the interior and exterior.
    Hope this helps,
    Best,
